Sexism or misogyny is something that has been around since the beginning of time. It has impacted every woman that has ever decided to enter politics. But what social media does, is it really amplifies the problem. It brings it into the light of day and it also adds a layer of anonymity and it can embolden people who might hold these views to actually voice them.
